Featured here is a wonderful antique alligator hand bag complete with partial alligator's body. Notice the legs and head are in the loose position yet finished on all sides except the inside of the alligator's mouth. Together with a strap handle and solid brass clasp, the bags main body measures 7 1/4" in ht, and 12 1/4" across. The strap makes the overall ht to 13 1/4". In good condition, the piece was purchased from a London England estate, has no tag, and dates from the early 1900s. Notice the added brass safety clasps on the ends of the bag, the soft suade inside lining (some staining) and there is a slight tear to the alligotor's mouth. Overall this is really a great useable bag..
